To those who participated in The Limited Access Community Songwriting Project on Facebook for brilliant lyrical inspiration for the song “What’s Done Is Done”.  It was truly written for all of you.

Limited Access began with a group of friends who grew up together in Gooding, Idaho.  We assembled this album from songs that were written from 1984 to 2016.  Some of our material was never recorded during this period, and some was damaged in a flood.  Some remembered, some lost.  We’d like to thank everyone who joined us on our journey, contributing to that dream over that time period, and wouldn't let us forget that we made music together to which they could relate.

In 2011, Jeff, Ted, and Shane discussed the possibility of getting things rolling again and ultimately recording all these revenant songs properly and sharing them once again with more polish than  previously available to a bunch of youngsters from the middle of nowhere.  We also wanted to see if we still had the chemistry and the guts to resurrect ourselves and play live together again to promote our efforts.  It was like riding a motorcycle.  You kick it over and it sputters a bit, then the machine starts to make that sound.  Limited Access was back.  This compilation of songs reflect the fondness we have for our family, friends, fans, and one another.  It chronicles the way we were feeling at these times in our lives and hopefully relates to similar experiences you may have.  Our music has always been lyrically driven with a punchy rhythmic rock sound.  It’s just good old biker party music.  We want to leave you with a smile on your face, torn jeans, scuffed boots, and fond memories!  Life is a wild ride.

Thanks to our awesome families, fans, and good friends over the years for their encouragement and support.  There are those not mentioned here, but know that you will never be far from our memory.

Jeff wishes to thank Shawn Bryan for his lead guitar playing both live and studio. Of course My wife and daughter for their support. My parents for support and encouragement and for the use of an old house for practice (1984-1990) .  Blaine Johnston for final touches and laughs!  Lots of laughs.  Every single person who ever said, “That sounded cool Jeff!” “Diamondz” Greg for allowing us our first performance venue after 20 years. Big thanks to Shane and Ted for believing in our project and being lifelong friends.  Tons of memories!!  In all honesty, I thought my band days were done 15 years ago... gotta thank everyone who encouraged me to dust it off and show up!  Thanks to all the fans back in the day who showed up and danced/partied/or just enjoyed our shows!

Shane wishes to thank  Brett “Sanz” Hall (1969-2012) for occupying my heart and mind with fond memories of youthful innocence, records, tapes, CDs, jam sessions, laughs & tears, and endless brotherhood, SDMF. This is my dedication to you, Bree, my big little brother, I love you and I’ll never forget.  Jeff and Ted for these many years of friendship and openness, the miles under our tires, all the catchy hooks and rhythms, and sharing this dream with me, picking it back up as though we never put it down.  The Sound Socket (Ovio Productions) in Hailey, Idaho.  Randy Quigley at Sound Trax, Scott Spencer, forever the comedian and axe-grinder, rest in peace, Greg Zeno, Rex Rose, Scotty Griffin, Frank “Amaretto Bro” Ryan, for helping keep my skills honed in LA. Stash for the live mixing, Don & Elberta for the jam shed, Jerry & Letty for the garage.  Joe "Mojo" Fleck in the Shatterproof years. Jeff Malmstrom and Bob Nation, in the Breach and Liquid Criminal years. The Foolsbane crew for several years of sharpening my iron as a musician.  Marc DeLeon for encouragement and inspiration as a musician and as a human being.  Mike "Bear" Clair for hooking me up with D'Addario. Happy Cat and Tommy “TTguns” Phelps for always being excited about live shows. Greg & Julie Dodson at Diamondz for the great stage and friendship.  Steve Clayton Guitar Picks, David & Roq at Sweetwater.  Shane uses DW drums, Sabian cymbals, Gibraltar rack systems, JamHub, Mackie personal mixers, Hart Dynamics, Roland, M-Audio Midi Controllers, Cockos Reaper, D'Addario/Evans drumheads, Pro-Mark drumsticks, & Puresound percussion accessories.  Music is in my blood, and I often wonder if it hasn't saved my life on several occasions.  Thoughtful lyrics, flowing progressions, and pulsating rhythms have changed my perceptions and my mood.  It has helped me become better as a person, and to see all the colors of the prism.  Please support local musicians, escpecially when they play the stuff that hits home for you.   Also, please have the vision to keep your favorite bands working in local clubs and venues by attending their shows, buying their merch, and encouraging club owners to put them on their bills and pay them what they are worth.

LYRICS

Come On Let’s Party

Let’s go!

People hear the music

they come from miles around

just to have a good time

to drink and party down

I don’t know how you all feel

all standin’ in the crowd

All I know you make it look so good

make me want to play it loud, yeah yeah

Come on let’s party

Come on let’s party

yeah yeah yeah

Come on let’s party

Let’s party all nite long

People gettin’ crazy

Just to see the band

It all looks like chaos

and I just don’t understand

Men and women dancin’

This party’s gettin’ wild

When this place closes

We can all party outside, yeah yeah

Come on let’s party

Come on let’s party

yeah yeah yeah

Come on let’s party

Let’s do it all nite long

Ooh!  Come on!

People feel the music

You came from miles around

Hope you had a good time

Let’s burn it to the ground

I don’t know how you all feel

All standing in the crowd

All I know, you make it look so good

Make me want to play it loud, yeah yeah

Come on let’s party

Come on let’s party

Yeah yeah yeah

Come on let’s party

Owww!

Let’s rock it all night long

All night long

Let’s party all night long

Ooh yeah

Nights Fly By

I remember the first time

The way you looked, you just blew my mind

Then you said, Let’s get away

From the scenes of our yesterday

Now we’re here and it feels so right

Would it be wrong if we stayed all night yea

I get so loose, I lose control

are we insane?   I wouldn’t know...

Days get crazy and nights fly by

I get wound up, and I can’t say why, no!

I want to be there by your side

Ooh Nights Fly by

You were gone without a sound

Now it’s too late to turn it around now

When I’m dreamin’,  I see your face

And I remember our last embrace

Days get crazy and nights fly by

I get wound up, I can’t say why, no!

I want to be there by your side

Ooh Nights Fly by

Days get crazy and nights fly by

I get wound up, I can’t say why, no!

I want to be there by your side

Ooh Nights Fly by

Trouble

Under the streetlights on a corner she stands

She don’t need your lovin’

She makes her demands

Black Lace and Leather is her only attire

Getting wild and crazy is her only desire

Thunder and lightning

She brings on the night

Don’t try to stop her

She’s ready to fight

Got to teach her a lesson that she’ll never forget

But she won’t ever listen and she ain’t confessin’ no

She’s nothing but trouble

She likes it that way cuz she’s trouble

Better run away

She’s trouble

She likes it that way cuz she’s trouble

Better run away

She’s trouble

Trouble

She’s Trouble

Under the streetlights on a corner she stands

She don’t need your lovin’, no!

She makes her demands

Gotta teach her a lesson that she’ll never forget

But she won’t ever listen and she ain’t confessin’ no

Ooh, She’s nothing but trouble

She’ likes it that way

She’s trouble

Better run away

She’s trouble

She brings on the night

She’s trouble

She’s ready to fight

She’s trouble

Vision of Love

So you think about love and it’s bringin you down

it’s been so long, it’s been hard to find, oh ya

You see it everyday, hand in hand walking down the street

You wonder if love is kind, you got a vision in the back of your mind

Vision of love

Vision of love

It was a vision of love

Vision of love

You think you know what you want, and it’s driving you crazy

It’s been so long, it’s been hard to find, oh ya

So you saw her there, tall slender body and long blonde hair

So you think love is kind, you got a vision runnin’ through your mind

Vision of love

Vision of love

She was a vision of love

Vision of love

Now she’s walking away

My jaw is droppin’ I got nothing to say

You know that love ain’t kind

You had a vision in the back of your mind

Vision of love

Vision of love

She was a vision of love

Vision of love

Ooh yeah!

Long Hard Ride (The Biker Tune)

I got white line fever and snakeskin boots

Got a feel for the road and a bad motor scoot

Got a dream in my head, and she’s miles away

I got no destination, it’s gonna stay that way

Knucklehead, Panhead, Shovelhead

It’s a long hard ride til I see the dawn

Livin’ the high life before it’s gone

It’s a long ride home

She’s sexy and sleek and one hell of a ride

Through the thick and the thin she’s been by my side

Never askin’ for nothin’ she’s ready to roll

Im’a grabbin’ her throttle, I lose control

Live my life on the road

Gotta find my way home

I got no regrets

Leavin’ all my troubles behind

No one gets out alive

Good Lord take me home

Paid my dues to the devil

But the highway owns my soul

Hit the road!

I got bugs in my teeth and the wind in my hair

Well I’m speedin’ down the highway ain’t gettin’ nowhere

Don’t call me a loser

I got nothing to lose

No slave to the system

It’s the life I choose

Knucklehead, Panhead, Shovelhead

Til’ I’m dead!

It’s a long hard ride ‘til I see the dawn

Livin’ the high life before it’s gone

Long hard ride ‘til I see the dawn

Chasing my freedom before it’s gone

It’s a long ride home

What’s Done Is Done

(Community Songwriting Project)

Started out young,  we didn’t know any better, ah no

We had no fear, never gonna surrender

We played it so loud, the music brought us together

Lookin’ back on it all, amazing what we remember

What’s done is done, I wouldn’t change a damn thing

Love on the run, no sorrow no shame

Keep your eye on the future, celebrate the past

Live in the now, time flies so fast.

I wish I knew then what I know now

Guess I wouldn’t change it anyhow

What's done is done...  No words left unspoken

Forever Young...    Our bond can’t be broken

The music brought us together

Been friends through all the years

We shared the laughter and the tears

What’s done is done

Lift Me Up! Take my breath away!

It takes me higher, than any words can say

It takes me back,  yeah, back to my yesterday

To another place where the memory’s swept away.

We’re so much older, no stone left unturned

Time slips away, it ain’t something that you burn

Live some learn some, or maybe no

Peace be with you, wherever you go!

Life can unravel like a thread

Keepin’ our eyes on the road ahead

What's done is done...  No words left unspoken

Forever Young...    Our bond can’t be broken

The music brought us together

We’ve been friends through all the years

We shared the laughter and we shed the tears

What’s done is done

Under the Bus

So you think you’re special

A step above the rest

Everyone around you

Is always second best

Pretty soon you’re thinkin’

and you’re wonderin why

All you had was trash talk

And now you’re on the fly

Never would listen to anyone’s advice

Now you burnt all your bridges

Don’t put the blame on us!

Under the Bus!

I’m gonna throw you

Under the Bus!

Reaper’s comin’ for you

Under the Bus!

You had it comin’

Under the Bus!

Oh your time is due

You started gettin’ nasty

what a dirty deal

Came around at the right time

to beg borrow or steal

Well I’m hear to tell you

Your gettin’ under my skin

The next time you see me

It won’t happen again, no no

Now we’re movin’ faster

I think we’re outta control

Coming up on the next turn

Your head’s about to roll

Under the Bus!

I’m gonna throw you

Under the Bus!

Reaper’s comin’ for you

Under the Bus!

You had it comin’

Under the Bus!

All you see is rust

In the Night

In the night, I feel the cool of the midnight air

In the daytime, I see the sunlight and I wish that you were there.

Come on midnight, I can't wait for a chance to see your face.

So come on now, come with me and we'll find a better place, yeah

Something came to me in the night

Something helped me to survive

Something keeps me hangin’ on and I don't know why

It feels like I burn in the daylight

Dark angel calls to me in the night, in the night

Say Goodbye, to the memories of yesterday

Say Hello, the good times are here, and here to stay

Now and then, I can't wait for a chance to see your face

See me now, come with me and we'll find a better way.

Something came to me in the night

Something helped me to survive

Something keeps me hangin’ on and I don't know why

It feels like I burn in the daylight

The dark angels call to me in the night, in the night, yea yea

Comes to me in the night.

Comes to me in the night.

...night

In the nighttime, I feel the cool of the midnight air

In the daytime, I feel the sunlight and I wish that you were there.

Now and then, I can't wait for a chance to see your face.

So come on now, come with me and we'll find a better way.

Comes to me in the night.

With eyes that burn so bright.

Rock & Roll Lives

Oh I remember a long time ago

How the years have fallen like the winter snow

I can’t seem to slow down

there’s no place for me

My life before me seems a mystery

shaaaa

Ooh Alright

Sitting by the roadside watchin’ them cars go by

Thinking bout years ago when everything seemed so fine

So many people passing me by

Seems my life is sittin’ still

Played for years as a rock musician

But I never could pay the bills

Rock n Roll Lives Rock n Roll Dies

Rock n Roll Lives Rock n Roll Dies

My buddy Johnny had a 454

Got killed through the driver’s door

Billy died at age 25

Man I wish he was still alive

It’s the way it is, The way it should be

God knows what coulda been...

Ooh Alright

Caught a ride on the 101

Got the hell out when his gun

Met a drummer at the Whisky Bar

Come on Let’s Jam, so I got in the car

Two years later the album was done

Me and the boys, we were on the run

Playin’ stages from state to state

It was worth the wait....... WAIT

Yeah Yeah

Rock n Roll Lives Rock n Roll Dies

Funny how the years keep passin’ us by

Kick it

Goodbyes

She’s gettin’ on the bus

She’s got tears in her eyes

Don’t know what to say

Ain’t no good at goodbyes

So damn hard to see you go

Don’t wanna see you leave this way

She’s slammin’ the door

She’s had enough this time

I said the wrong things

But committed no crimes

So damn hard to see you go

Don’t wanna see it end this way

She’s gone, there’s no second chances

Never been good at goodbyes

There’s no second chances

So let’s just say goodbye

Baby goodbye

She’s wavin’ down a cab

She needs a little time

It’s gonna be alright

She’ll be back in my arms tonight

So damn hard to see you go

Sorry it had to end this way

Now she’s jumpin’ on a plane

She’s gone for good this time

Gonna take another shot

Gotta clear my mind

She’s gone, there’s no second chances

Never been good at goodbyes

There’s no second chances

Bye bye baby goodbye

Bye bye baby goodbye

Bye bye baby goodbye

Bye bye baby goodbye

Bye bye baby goodbye

Nothing Lasts Forever

So you like to rock, I do it all of the time

I stay out late drinkin’ whisky and beer,  and vodka and lime

So you like to roll, I got got a 454

With a fat lead foot and a radical look we’re ready to roll

When the song is done and the ride is over

We’ll be havin’ a time, ooh good times

It’s been 25 years and we’re still pushin’ on

With some help from a friend and rehab again we write this song

When the song is done and the ride is over

We’ll be havin’ a time, good times

I’ve got a picture of you, it’s been years gone by

So much has changed but time’s been on your side

We are here, someday we’ll be gone

Live it up daily, life’s not all that long

Is it right to say goodbye

Is it wrong, just live our lives

Take a chance cuz nothing lasts forever

Make your move be it left or right

Good or Bad, that’s just life

Roll the dice, cuz nothing lasts forever

It’s been several years, you’ve been out on your own

You never seemed troubled livin’ all alone

You built up your walls, it’s time to tear ‘em all down

There’s something for everyone you’ll see

Is it right to say goodbye

Is it wrong, if we live our lives

Take a chance cuz nothing lasts forever

Make your move be it left or right

Good or Bad, that’s just life

Roll the dice, cuz nothing lasts forever

A couple of kids, the years roll by

They come and they go, it’s hard to say goodbye

It’s gotta be wrong that we turn our backs on each other

It won’t be long, we’ll fade away, fade away, fade away

Cuz nothin’ lasts forever

Cuz nothin’ lasts forever

Na na na, Na na na, Na na na, Nothin’ Lasts Forever

Na na na, Na na na, Na na na, Cuz nothin’ Lasts Forever

Take a Chance
